The High Price of Travel It is now obvious to all but the most stubborn of deniers that the speed and ease with which we move from point A to point B comes with a significant environmental cost. The transportation industry is one of the world's top contributors to air pollution, and the automobile is popularly regarded as the biggest culprit.
