CanLit great Alice Munro talks about her LongPen™ experience

When author Margaret Atwood first conceptualized the LongPen™, she thought she was inventing the world's first long distance, real-time, real pen and ink autographing device operated over the Internet. It would democratize the book tour and eliminate stressful border and airport line-ups for authors. It would save publishers money on travel and increase the number of events bookstores could host. Plus it was green, diminishing greenhouse gas emissions from airplane travel.

But the LongPen™ is much more than that: it is a revolutionary marketing and publicity machine that digitally captures everything that happens over the system for downloads, taking book-signing events beyond bricks and mortar into the virtual world of cyberspace.

"LongPen™ gave me the opportunity to actually speak with Alice Munro! What a fantastic invention. What a thrill!"
Sarah

"It was a fantastic experience to see both Margaret Atwood and Alice Munro in conversation with one another. I also thought that because the LongPen™ technology took a minute or so, I got to connect with Alice for longer than I would have if she had been there in person!"
Jennifer
