Conrad Black appears in a London bookshop, virtually
LONDON - Disgraced media baron Conrad Black is due to be sentenced in a couple of weeks, but he's still managing to promote his book on former U.S. president Richard Nixon.
On Nov. 28, Black will use author Margaret Atwood's invention, the LongPen, to sign the book for customers at Waterstone's Piccadilly in London.
The device - which incorporates video conferencing - allows him to sign from his home in Palm Beach, Fla.
Black, who is set to be sentenced Dec. 10, is not allowed to leave the United States. He was convicted in July of obstruction of justice and fraud charges.
Last month, he used the LongPen at a Toronto event to promote his book, called "The Invincible Quest: the Life of Richard Milhous Nixon."
Historian Andrew Roberts will host the London event.
